[ACADEMIC EVENT] “Discussing the commitment of scientists”: a COMETS &Joint Ethics Committee meeting

On The May 21, 2024

On May 21, 2024, the COMETS (CNRS Ethics Committee) and the Joint Ethics Committee (INRAE-Cirad-Ifremer-IRD) are organizing an afternoon dedicated to the commitment of researchers.

The COMETS, CNRS Ethics Committee, is a think tank that considers the ethical issues raised by scientific research, its practices, the new situations it creates and its objectives. The COMETS draws everyone’s attention to the need to strike the right balance between the freedom of research and the responsibilities that researchers have towards the CNRS and society as a whole. Find out more about COMETS

The INRAE-Cirad-Ifremer-IRD Joint Ethics Committee examines the ethical issues that may arise from research, both in France and abroad, in the fields of food, agriculture, the sea, the environment and sustainable development, in particular those relating to the relationship between science and society.
