[ACADEMIC EVENT] Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) conference at the Université de Lyon

The Université de Lyon is organizing a conference held by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science on Thursday, October 26. To mark the occasion, a delegation from the JSPS Strasbourg Office will present the various mobility programs funded by Japan.

Founded in 1932, the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) is Japan’s largest funding agency for scientific research. It supports research projects in all academic fields. JSPS is well established internationally, with offices in many countries around the world. The JSPS Strasbourg Office in France was established in 2001 within the Maison Universitaire France-Japon (France-Japan University Center) to promote scientific cooperation between Japan and France, as well as with other European countries.

On Thursday, October 26, 2023, the Université de Lyon will be holding a conference to introduce the JSPS. This will be the perfect opportunity to reiterate the importance of its International Alliance in developing the UdL’s international policy and the predominant place of exchanges with Japan in this policy since its creation.
