[AWARD] 18 professors from Lyon Saint-Étienne appointed members of the IUF

The Université de Lyon congratulates the 18 research professors from the Lyon Saint-Étienne site who have been appointed members of the University Institute of France (Institut Universitaire de France – IUF) from October 1, 2023, for a period of five years.

Results of the 2023 IUF campaign

The IUF, whose aim is to encourage the development of top level research in universities and to strengthen interdisciplinarity, has appointed 200 research professors this year. For a period of five years, these research professors will receive special promotion for their research. Eighteen of the 2023 awardees are from the Lyon Saint-Étienne site, including 5 junior members and 13 senior members.

Junior members:

• Samuel Angiboust, University Professor at the École normale supérieure de Lyon;
• Arnaud Duran, Associate Professor at the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1;
• Rémi Emonet, Associate Professor at the Université Jean Monnet in Saint-Étienne;
• Célia Lemaire, University Professor at the Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3;
• Mathilde Rossigneux-Meheust, Associate Professor at the Université Lumière Lyon 2.


Senior members:

• Marie-Laure Basilien-Gainche, University Professor at the Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3;
• Jean-Yves Baudouin, University Professor at the Université Lumière Lyon 2;
• Anne Benoit, Associate Professor at the École normale supérieure de Lyon;
• Angela Bonifati, University Professor at the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1;
• Christophe Dujardin, University Professor at the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1;
• Olivier Ferret, University Professor at the Université Lumière Lyon 2;
