[CALL FOR APPLICATIONS] China Scholarship Council 2024 Doctoral Scholarship Campaign

As part of its international policy, the Université de Lyon implements, on behalf of its members and associates, structuring actions in research and training. The China Scholarship Council (CSC) manages a doctoral scholarship program for the Chinese Ministry of Education (MoE). The Université de Lyon has signed an agreement with the CSC for thirty scholarships per year, amounting to €1,350 per month, for a maximum duration of 48 months.
 

The 2023 edition ended with 6 applications selected out of 40 thesis proposals, for 48-month funding.

The 2024 campaign is open on July 3, 2023. Thesis and doctoral school directors can now submit their subjects in English. Upon validation, those subjects will be available on the dedicated site. Chinese candidates will then be able to apply, highlighting their scientific and linguistic skills, to the thesis supervisors and then on the CSC platform, strictly following the program procedure.
 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

• Be a citizen or permanent resident of the People's Republic of China,
• Hold (or future holder) a Master's degree or equivalent that demonstrates your aptitude for research,
• Be in the 2nd year of a Master's degree or 1st year of a PhD for simple supervision of the thesis,
• Be in the 2nd year of a PhD for a joint supervision of the thesis,
• Have a certified good level of French or English, depending on your scientific field (minimum B2/C1 recommended).
