[PUBLICATION] In 2023, the Student Health portal includes a new directory and a complete English version

On The September 6, 2023

The Université de Lyon, at the initiative of the health referents of its member and associate institutions and with the support of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, is launching a new online health directory. The Student Health portal has also been translated into English, with the aim of improving knowledge of the French healthcare system and facilitating access to healthcare for all students on the site.

An extensive, digitalized health directory

Since the beginning of the academic year, around 150 health care providers and facilities have been added to the health directory. It is structured around eight main themes:

Emergency services • On-site healthcare facilities, sorted by institution • Healthcare centers • Vaccinations • Addictive behavior • Psychological support and follow-up • Emotional and sexual health • Information and helplines

It also provides an alphabetical list to help students find useful contacts for their physical and mental health.

This new directory, which covers Lyon, Saint-Étienne, Bourg-en-Bresse and Roanne, is the result of a concerted effort by the Université de Lyon in collaboration with the local authorities.

An English version of the portal goes online

In order to combat social inequalities in terms of access to health care, the Université de Lyon is launching an English version of the Student Health portal (https://masante.universite-lyon.fr/en) at the beginning of the 2023-2024 academic year.

This publication will also serve as a valuable resource for the Students Welcome Desk teams, who will be providing information and guidance to international students on all administrative procedures, as well as all available assistance and support services from September 4 to November 30, 2023.

Communication materials distributed on campus

In September, 17,000 leaflets entitled “Tout savoir sur l’accès aux soins” (“Everything you need to know about access to health care”) and 25,000 business cards entitled “Tous les numéros utiles pour ma santé” (“Useful health care numbers”) will be distributed to students at the start of the academic year in the member and associate institutions on the Lyon and Saint-Étienne campuses.
