Tech4Inclusion call for projects

Call for proposals closed

The Tech4Inclusion call for projects supports inventions from laboratories that aim to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities and marginalized people.

The Tech4Inclusion call for projects, is jointly sponsored by SATT Pulsalys and by IDEXLYON.

MAIN ISSUES COVERED

  • Technology & innovations to improve the quality of life and health of people with disabilities, dependent people and marginalized people (due to old age, illness, isolation, etc.) or provide support to caregivers:
    • Disability: mental, sensory, motor, psychiatric, autism and pervasive developmental disorders, “dys-” conditions, etc.;
    • Other types of social marginalization: elderly people, addressing the issues of poverty, job exclusion, immigration, academic failure, illiteracy, prisoners, people with gender dysphoria, etc.
  • Technology & innovations to help with the integration and inclusion of these people;
  • Technology & innovations to improve mobility and access to athletic activities (parasports) for people with disabilities.

FIELDS AND AREAS INVOLVED

  • E-health, digital platforms, software, telemedicine, home-based care, etc.;
  • Health: medical devices, sensory devices, prosthetics, etc.;
  • Therapeutic devices, cognitive therapy, neuroscience, etc.;
  • Engineering; mecatronics: robotics, exoskeletons, etc.;
  • Augmented reality, artificial intelligence, etc.;
  • Home automation (connected objects, etc.);
  • Urban development, land use planning, housing, transportation;
  • Education (continuing education: FI/FTLV), professional integration.
Researchers who wish to ask specific questions about the call for projects can make an appointment to help finalize their project application.


ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • The project must be led by a researcher, or research professor from one of the member institutions of the IDEXLYON Consortium (see the liste here);
  • The project must be related to the issue of “disability & inclusion” and aim to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities or marginalized people (old age, disease, isolation, etc.) or to support caregivers;
  • Projects must have a clear pathway to implementation in the socioeconomic world;
  • Projects must have been approved by laboratory directors before submitting the application.

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS

  • Applications will be closed on November 23, 2018 at noon;
  • Sending invitations to successful candidates: December 2018;
  • Selection committee in January 2019;
  • Launch of pre-maturation and ripening projects: spring 2019.
