The French National Research Agency (ANR) has launched a call for Convergence Institute projects under the Investments for the Future program. It aims to build several large-scale, high-profile multidisciplinary scientific sites in order to better meet key issues at the crossroads between societal and economic challenges and to respond to questions raised by the scientific community.

Two Convergence Institutes led by the Université de Lyon have been selected: the Institute for Tumor Plasticity and Personalized Medicine (PLASCAN) and Lyon Urban School. The two projects will be funded for a maximum of 10 years with 9 million euros each.
