While the recycling of wastewater is still not very present in Europe and in France, the Life RECYCLO project tackles the problem of the reuse of laundry water. An innovative project that has just taken a new important step: the prototype is under construction at the premises of the Treewater company in Alixan, near Valence (France).

On April 19, departments from the Université de Lyon relating to innovation and entrepreneurship (the Innovation Factory, SATT PULSALYS & the Entrepreneurship Center) took part in a workshop organized by the Université Lyon 2 as part of the TETRIS (TEchnology TransfeR Innovation Schemes in Latin America) project around innovation and technology transfer.

On Wednesday, October 12, 2022, the 16th edition of the L’Oréal-Unesco Young Talents Prize - France for Women in Science was awarded to 35 exceptional female doctoral students and post-doctoral researchers. Three of them are from the Lyon Saint-Étienne laboratories.

Lyon Urban School is organizing an international seminar focusing on environmental vulnerability and public decision-making in a post-disaster context. The seminar will be held from October 6 to 8 in Lyon and Tokyo, as part of the 2022 "Rentrée Anthropocène" event.

On September 29, 2022, The ENTPE, the École Centrale de Lyon, INSA Lyon and École des Mines de Saint-Étienne signed the 4EI student mobility agreement, which aims to develop a common engineering project on the Lyon Saint-Étienne site, and to offer more specialization options to seniors through inter-institution mobility. The signature took place in the presence of the Directors of the institutions at the Université de Lyon.
